The Melkite Greek-Catholics in New York City strive to serve our community rooted in Middle Eastern traditions, reflecting a spirit of generosity and inclusivity. Our heritage can be traced back to the early Christians of Antioch, a city historically situated in Syria and now part of Turkey. It was here that St. Peter and St. Paul introduced Christianity, and where the term 'Christian' was first used to describe the followers of Jesus, as noted in Acts 11:19-26.

We celebrate the joy of the Gospel through our Divine Liturgy of the Byzantine Rite, conducted in English, Arabic, and Greek. Our commitment lies in sharing our faith and nurturing the love of Christ within our diverse community.

By broadcasting our Divine Liturgy, various Liturgical Services, and offering Biblical and spiritual discussions, we extend our outreach to those who are unable to attend church in person, including the sick and homebound.

We invite you to visit us at the Church of the Virgin Mary in Brooklyn; you will find a warm welcome awaiting you.
